English For Academic Purposes (EAP)
(Compulsory for students with evidenced <6.5 IELTS)
This module is designed to ensure that all students complete a comprehensive English Language module that will serve further academic study. It is benchmarked at RQF Level 3 and against IELTS and CEFR overall and by subskill.
Research Project with Skills Enhancement
(Available to students with evidenced>6.5 IELTS)
This module is designed to ensure that all students who have typically achieved a minimum IELTS 6.5 (5.5 in all subskills) achieve a comprehensive research and extended writing competency in preparation for UG study.

Choice of Modules
Mathematics & Data Handling
This module provides students with a broad understanding of mathematical functions, with statistical applications. Students will cover trigonometry and calculus as these are key Mathematical concepts at this level, and data handling as a mathematical field as well as a research tool.
Mathematics
This module covers the specialist mathematics required to pursue a degree in engineering science, mathematics or physics. The content is mapped to UK RQF Level 3 Maths for A-Level and includes content also relevant to UK Further Maths A-Level content as relevant for progression in mathematics related fields.
Specialized Subjects
Business & Accounting
This module is designed to develop students’ knowledge and understanding of the world of business and accounting, targeting those students who will undertake a business-related undergraduate degree.
Economics
The module introduces students to the study of Economics providing the tools to understand and contextualize contemporary economic structures and issues
Sociology and Psychology
The module introduces students to the key concepts within the study of sociology and psychology. By studying this module students will be able to transition easily to studying for a degree in a social science
related subject.
Media
This module provides students with a sound critical framework within which to navigate the changing global media forms and structures and to understand its role in shaping politics, economics, business and a range of legal and ethical issues.
Computer Science
This module provides students with a foundation of computer skills, knowledge and understanding, targeting students with a specific interest in Computer Science and typically combined with the Maths module in delivery as there is some co-dependency or mathematical confidence required.
